There are some acts that will always come back to haunt you no matter how hard you try to forget them. In my case one is throwing a few bucks at John McCain in the 2000 primaries. The latest echo just showed up in my inbox:

I can easily see myself voting for McCain again especially considering his likely competition. I'd like to find someone who wants to support personal liberty for both Americans and foreigners, but that's a bit much to hope for these days. Right now I'm trying to keep my standards low. As long as we don't wind up with Jeb vs. Hillary I should be able to find someone to vote for (and I could probably vote for either of those two if they run on what to do in the next adminstration, not what happened in a previous one). But I'm not going to tie myself to a candidate yet. Current Mood: amused
